We’re really pleased to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a part time Junior Category Manager to join our established Kitchens team and continue your career development. We are open to someone working between 22.5 to 30 hours a week, with some flexibility as to how those hours are split across the week. The role will be a blend of office and home working, here in our Watford Support Centre.
Our Kitchens category is particularly exciting. You’ll be working in an area that has the need for creativity in order to keep up with trends and innovation, whether that be the aesthetics or functionality of our kitchens.
What you’ll be doing
This is a genuine opportunity to develop your career in our commercial team, you‘ll support the development and delivery of the category strategy working with our category teams on all aspects of our products’ journeys - from their original source anywhere in the world, right through to the shelves in our stores. You’ll learn all of the skills required to develop into a Category manager of the future.
Activities within the role are varied, but this role offers direct experience within the Customer and Category Teams, providing the opportunity to take ownership of many aspects of the category and buying process including range reviews and the category communication process.
About you

Ideally you will also have:
Previous buying / commercial experience within a retail environment
The ability to multitask and prioritise workload alongside good time management
Strong analysis skills - and strong proficiency across Google Workspace or MS Office
An interest in staying up to date on the latest trends, innovations, and developments within the kitchen industry
Collaborative team working and relationship building skills
