At our SDC (Stores Distribution Centre), we deliver products to all of our stores.


We also fulfil our online orders, sending products to our customers homes.

Warehouse

You’ll find  several teams in our warehouse enabling us to get the right products to the right places. We have pickers, loaders, tippers, recycling, putaways and replenishing teams.

Clerical

Clerical functions are key to the warehouse running smoothly. Duties include booking deliveries and ensuring the operation is kept up to date with a constant and even flow of work.

Health & Safety

Health and Safety is our main priority whether you’re in our office, driving or working in our warehouse. We make sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. We have a dedicated team who ensure we are following we are up to date with all all the correct procedures.

Training

Our Store Distribution Centre training department is split into 2 different types: MHE (Material handling equipment) trainers and Operations trainers. The trainers support our colleagues in how to complete all the work duties required of a warehouse colleague as well as using the MHE.

Facilities

The Facilities department looks after our sites (including our gas, water and electric supplies) as well as all our appliances. They’re also responsible for Fire Safety System and Racking. They’re looking after general repair and all our appliances.

Not only do we have a fantastic diverse team, they also stay a longtime with Wickes because 78 of our colleagues have worked for the company for over 15 years and some have done over 35 years!
