Key Responsibilities
This is a front-line, hands-on, operationally focused position, where you will oversee and work alongside the Security Operations Centre team.

  • Taking ownership of key security tooling including but not limited to Anti-virus, SIEM, XDR and Vulnerability Management. 
  • Be responsible for the implementation of security controls, monitoring and responding to security events and incidents.
  • Develop the Security Operations capability to support the Cyber Security Strategy & Policy
  • You will ensure security by design in the implementation of new products and services by supporting the project teams with SME knowledge of security.
  • Leading in the development of new security controls to support the Wickes Security Policy and protect the Wickes Business. 
  • Provide support for internal and external audits; ISO27001, PCI-DSS 

What are we looking for?
  • We are open to candidates having a cyber security or security architecture background, you will be able to demonstrable security engineering experience, most specifically within security operations. 
  • A strong background in security event and incident management is essential for this role
  • Strong technical security background and previous experience of managing systems such as Firewalls, Access Management, SIEM, Anti-Malware, Vulnerability Scanning, Web Filtering, Data Loss Prevention
