We are looking for a Business Analyst to join us for 12 months on an FTC to cover maternity.

Why not join us and be part of our Order Management System programme team within Enterprise Delivery, your role will be to join us during our Design Phase to support technical and business change designs, then support as we go into build and deployment. You will be liaising between the business and IT teams by facilitating communication and determining objectives that align with stated business case needs and unstated business needs.

The Role:
  • You’ll obtain a deep understanding of relevant Wickes business areas to be able to build/maintain high-quality requirements and recommend process/commercial/technology improvements.
  • You’ll work with the core project team to assist in key documentation review and input, such as statements of work and change requests and creation of documentation for key project updates.
  • You’ll work with the business and delivery teams to shape and prioritise detailed business requirements by making recommendations towards standard retail practice and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions where they are leading to unique customisation/development.
  • You’ll understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks, whilst building strong relationships with business partners and architecture to discuss trade offs and work collaboratively to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process and support delivery teams as they develop, test and deploy solutions.
  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.
  • Understand inefficiencies or gaps to identify and assist in prioritising opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Support in identifying business change impact and agreement on acceptable resolution.
Does this sound like you?
  • Proven track record of working in large and complex business facing projects involving multiple business applications.
  • Previous experience of working in Cloud and SaaS based solution projects with a background in Retail, Supply Chain Systems and Transport Systems is essential.
  • Previous experience of working with the IBM Sterling Order Management SAAS Solution is desirable.
  • Experience of working across multiple business areas such as supply chain, logistics, commercial, finance, and ecommerce.
  • You’ll have great interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships at all levels and be able to influence.
  • You’ll have experience of working successfully alongside other Business Analysts on large programmes of work to collectively cover a wide breadth of scope.
  • You’ll have experience of working with on-shore and offshore SIs, building a relationship with your counterparts to achieve the right outcome.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira and confluence would be an advantage.
  • You’ll have great interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships at all levels and be able to influence.
  • You’ll be a strong problem solver with excellent trouble-shooting skills.
